This is a simply stunning photograph taken by Harland & Wolff managing director and RMS Titanic chief designer, Thomas Andrews, of his new wife, Helen.
Photos of Helen are very rare, but this particular image is unpublished and most importantly, was captured by her new husband, Thomas, whilst they were on honeymoon in Switzerland in July 1908. It clearly shows Mrs Andrews standing by a powerful waterfall and a wooden bridge. A truly beautiful moment captured in time...
Thomas Andrews is a revered, iconic figure and as head of the 'Guarantee Group', was lost when Titanic sank on the early morning of 15th April 1912.
This is an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire a genuine piece of history, which is from one of the most famous love stories surrounding the ill-fated ship.
The photograph was part of the Andrews' Wedding Archive owned by White Star Memories and comes from direct descent.
