This is an awesome collection of ephemera about 1st class steward, Alexander James Littlejohn, who survived the disaster, but at a cost. After being asked to row lifeboat 13, the shock of the tragedy turned his hair white almost overnight!!
First in this set is the wonderful, hardback book about his life, written by his grandson, the late Philip Littlejohn. Accompanying this is an authentic reproduction of Alexander’s ‘Certificate of Discharge’ book, which contains details of his employment onboard Olympic & Titanic!
Also included is a reproduction, period postcard sent to Alexander from Belfast before Titanic’s departure and much more!
This is #555 of only 705 printed, in memory of the number of survivors and is signed by Titanic’s last youngest and final survivor, Millvina Dean as well as Philip Littlejohn who sadly passed away about 10 years ago.
A real ‘Certificate of Discharge’ book from a Titanic crewman will cost you £1,000’s, so grab this superb, very rare set…
