This large piece of mica was recovered by the Research & Recovery Dive Team, RMS Titanic Inc. expedition from the wreck site of R.M.S. Titanic.
Micas are a group of silicate minerals and individual mica crystals can easily be split into extremely thin elastic plates. They are translucent to opaque with a distinct, vitreous or pearly lustre, displaying colours ranging from white to green, or red to black.
They are used in products such as parts for automobiles, roofing and electronics. The mineral is also used in cosmetics and food to add "shimmer" or "frost."
Comes displayed in our classic 'Legacy Collection' gift box within a sealed, black plastic frame with a clear membrane. Security sealed with our company logo.
