An original 20th Century cast brass model of a 'Hingleys Challenge Patent' Anchor, maker's mark 'N Hingley & Sons Ltd Sole Makers' to the shank, 22cm long.
N Hingley & Sons were renowned makers of anchors and anchor chains through the 19th and 20th Centuries, most famously casting anchors for the White Star Lines' RMS Titanic & Olympic plus Cunard's Maurtania & Aquitania.
