Beautifully recreated to exacting standards from the original patterns, this 1-tile set has been professionally mounted & framed, using museum-quality materials. The display contains a mounted, colour render of the 'Olympic-Class' Turkish Bath, as fitted on board RMS Olympic & Titanic.
During the 'Fitting-Out' of Titanic in 1911, a small quantity of wall tiles were found to have imperfections in the glaze and were removed, then sent back to the manufacturers, Pilkington & Co, Ltd in England; presumably to make sure no such faults were to be in the next batch manufactured for Olympic's second sister, RMS Britannic.
Following the Titanic disaster, these six tiles were placed in their company archive and museum, until its closure in around 2015, when they were sold at auction. White Star Memories were fortunate to acquire two tiles, which are now core artifacts included in exhibitions around the world.
These tiles are the result of a 200+ hour personal project by US collector & researcher, Nick Sullivan, to re-manufacture the world's most accurate Turkish Bath Cooling Room tiles. We are now giving you the opportunity to add these to your own collection or museum.
The tiles have been digitally painted from scratch, spanning a time-line of nearly 100 hours to completion. Countless visual resources were referenced for historical accuracy, notably the Malibu Tile Works Replica which was on display at the Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in 2017 and 2018.
DON'T MISS THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO ADD THIS STUNNING TILE DISPLAY TO YOUR COLLECTION!
