RMS Adriatic was the largest, the fastest, and the most luxurious of the Big Four, being the first ocean liner to have an indoor swimming pool and Turkish Baths.
In service from 1907 until 1934, Adriatic was scrapped in Osaka, Japan in 1935.
This beautiful ribbon plate bears an image of the ship in the centre and is intricately made of translucent glass; often called a 'milk plate' and the flowers are adorned with gold leaf. Souvenirs were sold in the onboard gift store, which doubled as the barber's shop.
Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks and only minor loss of the central image, commensurate with its age of almost 120 years.
These plates are becoming increasing rare to find and this is a guaranteed investment!
