Recovered from the wreck of RMS Lusitania in 1982, this watch movement case was one of a consignment being shipped to the UK by USA manufacturer, Elgin & Co.
Still sealed, the case contains the watch face, inner case and movement, which would then have been placed into their silver or gold outer case, in preparation for sale.
Accompanied by the original Certificate of Authenticity supplied by Cobwebs of Southampton.
Artefacts from Lusitania are now extremely collectible and are rapidly appreciating in value, so don't miss this rare opportunity!!
PLEASE NOTE: Images 6,7,8 & 9 shown of the case open and its contents, are courtesy of Jonathan Quayle of Purser's Locker, who have a similar watch movement case offered for sale on eBay, which has been opened, preserved and set in a display case.
