These limited edition pens have a small piece of hull, recovered during RMS Titanic inc (RMST) Research and recovery expeditions.
It was in 1996 when the first attempt was made to raise a 26.5ft x 12.5ft section of the starboard C-Deck hull, behind which was the luxurious suite C-79. Following the ascent from the seabed and just 200 ft from the surface, the big piece was released by the crew and the 17 ton steel section tumbled all the way back down to the ocean floor, at a depth of 12,415 feet. Two years later on the 10th August 1998, a second attempt was more successful.
After the restoration was finished, RMST Vice President (Operations) Dik Barton. was handed fragments that had fallen off during the conservation work and these are the pieces we have.
These executive pens are made using a fragment of the Hull Steel set in resin.
Although this is a limited edition, as we only have so many of these available, they are NOT numbered.
