RMS OLYMPIC 1st CLASS LADIES' BATHROOM TILE
In over 30 years of collecting and dealing in maritime artifacts, this is the first time we have had the pleasure and opportunity to offer this incredibly rare tile from the 1st class ladies' bathroom on board RMS Olympic.
These tiles were also supplied and fitted to her identical twin sister, RMS Titanic.
Following Olympic's dispersal sale in Jarrow, Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1936, linoleum tiles from the ships' public areas and some swimming pool tiles were sold off and even today, occasionally come to market. But it was believed that these beautiful tiles, made for the ladies' first class bathroom by renowned manufacturer, Villeroy & Boch, were lost to time.
The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or damage to note.
At auction last year,
This is an extremely rare opportunity to add this magnificent piece of history to your collection and is without doubt, an appreciating asset!
